Healing Those Who Serve
American War Veterans have given the ultimate service to the citizens
of The United States and many are now suffering from debilitating
traumas. It is up to all of us to give back and support them in
healing wounds, seen and unseen, that threaten their lives and the
lives and happiness of their families and communities. Our current
Federal system of medical and psychological support for Veterans is
doing what it can, but it is simply not enough. We, as private
citizens, corporate entities and small business owners, must do what
we can for those who have courageously served and are now paying the
consequences.
The need is critical and the time is now. Effective treatment and
healing requires funding and many of our Veterans do not have the
ability to pay for the help they deserve. This is a time of great
need in the lives of thousands of Veterans and their families. As
Americans we are each personally responsible to do our part to help.
Second Wind Foundation and The Ranch are joined in this action by
Dannion Brinkley, founder and director of "The Twilight Brigade",
an end-of-life-care volunteer network of over six thousand Americans
who support over 30 thousand dying Veterans in their last days.
Dannion has personally been with 365 Vets as they let go of their
last breath. Every one of those individuals was still fighting their
personal war because of their service to our country, to you, me and
all of our friends and family.
The Ranch Recovery Center of Tennessee has committed the capital and
staff necessary to develop a living model of healing for our
Veterans. Through fund-raising efforts and the support of The Twilight Brigade, Second Wind Foundation, The Ranch Recovery Center of Tennessee, and all of us who live the American
Dream; our Veterans will be supported and offered the opportunity to
heal from the nightmare of war.
